How to use an oxygen concentrator

Nanjing Kaihong Healthcare Co.,Ltd | Updated: Jun 21, 2018

The use of oxygen concentrators is often used at home and in clinical settings. The machine draws oxygen directly from the indoor air and does not use oxygen cylinders. The nitrogen is absorbed into the machine and re-released into the indoor air, providing only pure oxygen for the patient. Oxygen generators do not have a high flammability risk for oxygen cylinders and do not require refilling. However, about 3 feet, 3 feet, they are not easy to carry. Concentration requires several steps to set up, and a little maintenance can work properly.

step 1

Will focus on the wall. Make sure the concentrator can reach you without using an extension cord. The nipple adapter or foam humidifier machine. Fill the maximum filling line of the foam humidifier with distilled water. Supplement with necessary oxygen to supplement moisture when the water reaches the "lowest" line.

Step 2

Place the oxygen tube, nipple adapter or bubble humidifier. Do not use the pipeline for more than 50 feet in length. The end of the tube of the additional connector. Place a nasal cannula or other oxygen on the tube end of the device.

Step 3

Place the nasal cannula prongs about 6.3 inches up from the tip of the nose. Place the nasal catheter around the ear of the oxygen tube. The rest of the pipes are allowed to fall into the lower chin or behind them. Adjust the tube to fit the skin under the tube. When using an oxygen mask, hold the mask against the strap behind the mouth. Adjust the seal of the strap by pulling on the mask on each side of the loose elastic band.

Step 4

Turn on the oxygen generator and set it to the appropriate leveling level, prescribed by a doctor. Only use the set time and amount. Do not adjust the flow rate or use more than the prescribed time. Make sure that the oxygen is found by a button on the concentrator that correctly indicates normal flow. The button may have a green light.

Step 5

Watch the yellow or red light and oxygen systems concentrate abnormally. The light may indicate that the oxygen flow is blocked. Check that all pipes and connection concentrators are not working properly. Please call the retailer or manufacturer's machine that purchased the machine if the machine cannot be scheduled for inspection. Use a spare oxygen system until the problem is solved.
